The wide format projectors are starting to catch on. It will probably be a little while before it is the norm though.
Also in the works are laser projectors :) Lasers are cool! I miss running the YAG and C02 http://www.weldmac.com/laser-welding.html. Admittedly you don't see the pretty beams with these but it is way cool to use light to cut metal!
