I just ran a very quick test and found that if I: - Delete the Drop Down field - Create a new Character field with the same database ID - Save the form The new field still has all the data - without having to export / import the data. This would be great as there are a large number of historical records and I would like to do this to a number of fields so it would save me considerable effort if I did not have to export / import. Just wondering if anyone has done anything like this before or can think of a reason why this approach would not work. I will of course be doing more testing but ideally would love to hear that someone has done this before without any side effects.
