Hi, It has never been free as far as I know.
I guess you can request a trial version. The best way would probably to do it through one of your clients Support Contract IDs, as they typically has no limit on the number of servers. I have installed AR 8.1 on Scientific Linux (Red Hat Clone) with Oracle without any problem. I used Oracle XE which is free for small environments, and the full Oracle Client to connect through, in order to fool the Remedy installer. Mid-Tier + AR runs fine on 2GB memory in my VM, but I do not have ITSM installed on that machine. To run the installer you need X. I typically use Cygwin as X-server, and then do a ssh -X to the Linux server. I have a detailed script I follow in order to make everything run smoothly, so if anyone is interested, let me know.
