Just to follow-up on this thread ...
We finally upgraded to version 2.2.5 and things look good. Hitting the "local"
and "external" repo URLs only provides the "local" and "external" versions
available through each. Hitting the repo via the "virtual" URL that includes
both the "internal" and "external" repos, merges the two metadata files
together
to provide a unified view of available versions. Thanks again for the quick
response(s).
