Just for let you know...
I have intermittent 502 bad gateway problems on artifactory 2.2.3 too, but
only with big files being deployed. Today I enabled my ajp connector on
jetty and switched my mod_proxy to use ajp protocol and everything seems to
work now. Maybe it's just faster enough to my file, maybe the bad gateway is
not happening with ajp.
I also noticed a big improvement on UI after that change, artifactory seem
much faster now. I guess this show be put on apache recommendations.
