I got this error and found that [artifactory_home]/etc/mimetypes.xml had recently been written to and had a size of 0 bytes. I moved it to [artifactory_home]/etc/mimetypes.xml.bak and restarted the service. This solved the problem. Artifactory regenerated mimetypes.xml automatically.
