We are currently in the middle of changing to Mysql from the internal derby
database.

We've had no problems with Artifactory serving artifacts, but as our
repositories get more populated, we've found the Artifactory UI to be
incredibly slow, especially when searching and are hoping that switching DB
will help us.

Regards,

Dan

Subject: [Artifactory-users] Reasons to switch databases?

Hi,

I know that an external database is a requirement for Artifactory HA, but are
there any performance or scalability advantages (with very large collections of
artifacts) to moving over to, say, MySQL vs. using the internal Derby database?

What size Artifactory libraries do you guys have, and what kind of performance
issues have you run into? (We're pretty satisfied with our performance so far,
but we've only migrated a few projects over. Just multiplying it out, we'll
probably end up with ~300k artifacts and half a TB of disk usage.)

Thanks,

Dave
