You should be fine as long as you do a second rsync after shutting down the
original artifactory. After that you can finally start the new one. To
minimize potential issues, keep both servers at same version of Java and
artifactory.

Or, to bypass the disk issue, you could use a NFS mount of new on the old
machine (assuming both are behind same firewall), and then backup to the
mounted directory.
