Dell - Internal Use - Confidential
We were attempting to utilize the Artifactory API in conjunction with our
builds to execute a synchronous
operation<https://www.jfrog.com/confluence/display/RTF/Artifactory+REST+API#ArtifactoryRESTAPI-CalculateYUMRepositoryMetadata>
 to generate the YUM metadata.

However, we discovered that it indeed recalculates everything, as the
documentation stated. This was too long of an operation as the repo grew
larger to use in our build environment, so we went back toward using a
createrepo statement locally first, then uploading that.

Generating the yum metadata like this is very much sub-optimal for a number of
reasons related to our build. Is there any way to trigger a yum metadata
calculation for a specific path in an Artifactory YUM repo?

Thanks!
