I am using the rpm version of arts 0.6.0 that shipped with RedHat 7.2. I
am trying to make a drumkit as a mapped instrument that uses
synth_PLAY_WAV to play back samples of the individual drums. My problem
is that I cannot connect the 'finished' output to the 'done' port (or
anything else for that matter). While clicking on the button in
artsbuilder seems to work it is a diffent colour (grey not blue) and no
connection is made. I tried to edit the .arts file manually to make the
connection as well but to no avail. At this stage the playback works but
it gradually chews up all the available CPU power as the number of
structures that could not been deleted grows, resulting in artsd exiting
with the 'CPU overload' message.
How can I get around this problem?

I apologise if this is a known issue and I am wasting your time (I could
not find anything about it in the docs or on the list) but this is the
only thing that stops me from using arts/Brahms instead of fruityloops.

Cheers

Vik

PS: thanks for creating arts, it rocks :)
