Role: Technical Lead / Ab Initio Tool Specialist Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 1 year contract Rate: Market *Job Description:* -This position is responsible for the enterprise ETL design and development direction of multiple diverse application functions on a variety of multi-platform systems in order to support the achievement of corporate business objectives. -Responsibilities of this position include ETL (Extraction Transformation and Load) architecture, design and development, Unix scripting and scheduling. -The role includes working closely with the project teams from requirement analysis through implementation. -Implements ETL tools in support of short and long term business plans as well as application implications and software development requirements. -Participates in the development of company business system architecture plans as well as cost and feasibility of system requests. -This position works closely with vendors, project managers, business analysts, and clients. -Stays up to date on industry standards in order to keep informed of new and current standards. -Responsible for building configuration components like scripts/procedures for commonly encountered functionality requirements to establish baselines for estimations. -Development of small internal projects for building methodologies, templates and proof of concepts. *Required Skills:* -8+ yrs Experience with ETL working with large databases exceeding 1 terabyte -Experience in designing control databases --5+ years experience with AB Initio ETL tool - 5+ years experience developing in a Unix environment -5+ years with Unix shell scripts & SQL scripts -5+ years data warehouse development experience -EME experience with versions 2.15 -Experience with Meta data and lineage -Ab Initio Profiler capabilities -Multi Terabyte Data Warehouse or ODS projects -Conduct it implementation / utilization -Infrastructure resource management -Unix scripting Demonstrated proficiency/experience: Defining technology planning requirements for all domain objectives, architectural principles, goals and standards for multiple applications Applications development and linking applications across platforms and processes with demonstrated proficiency developing assessments on infrastructure impact Translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions Effective verbal and written communications proficiency with the capacity for explaining technical information to all levels of management, technical staff, and business clients Generating requirements and analysis/design documentation as well as associated program flow diagrams necessary to code the programs Effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to team members, management and/or vendors Understanding and proficiency in designing complex application solutions -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Companies Looking for IT Out Staffing & Recruitment" group.
