*Title: Java and Websphere Developer Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 5+ Months Rate: $Open DOE* *Description: *Requires advanced knowledge of organization stated technology standards, procedures and methods. Translates and interprets functional requirements documentation for large projects. Designs and develops complex solutions for the organization's core applications/interfacing systems. Performs system/applications integrations. Acts as a key contributor in a complex environment. May lead small teams or projects; shares expertise. Draws on best practices and comprehensive technical knowledge to advise internal/external customers in own area of expertise. Recommends methods for improved work processes, detailing the process's strengths and answering internal/external customers' questions to gain group consensus. Supports the implementation process, leading and/or aligning the efforts of involved parties (planning, execution etc); forges strong partnerships with appropriate constituencies. Delegates tasks to appropriate team members; lends expertise to facilitate effective implementation. Measures performance of the newly implemented solution against desired results and makes basic improvements; demonstrates a strong sense of ownership for outcomes. *Must Have: *5+ years Java/J2EE Development. 4+ years experience with HTML and JavaScript. 4+ years experience with XML. 3+ years experience with Rational Application Developer (RAD). 3+ years experience with SQL, JavaScript and AJAX. 2+ years experience with IBM Websphere Portal. 2+ years experience developing JSR 168/286 Portlets, JSPs and Servlets and J2EE Web Services. Struts and JSF development /experience. Experience in configuring and developing with WebSphere Portal. Experience with Portal WCM components. Experience with Portal themes and skins. Experience with Websphere Portal v.6. Experience in configuring and developing with WebSphere Commerce. Caching Experience. Customer-focused, "do what it takes" attitude. Interest in learning and applying new technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desired Certifications: Sun Java Programmer, Sun Java Developer, Sun Web Component Developer for J2EE technologies, any IBM WebSphere related certifications.
