*Minneapolis, MN. * Job Summary: The Senior EDI/BizTalk Developer function is an experienced BizTalk developer with extensive administrative and EDI development backgrounds. This position will provide day to day system administration on all components of the BizTalk infrastructure. Along with the platform responsibilities, this individual will lead all BizTalk development, often acting as a liaison between the business, technology and trading partners for EDI projects and tasks, actively driving the analysis, requirements, design, testing and implementation phases for the software development lifecycle. Essential Duties: • Lead efforts to define and document technical requirements, architecture, design, development and unit testing of new BizTalk solutions while ensuring compliance to industry standards and meeting internal SDLC policies, procedures, and guidelines. • Evaluate service requests and new work for accurate estimates and size for development work involved and resource needs; analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design solutions. • Develop high-level, detailed requirements while presenting both technical and business facts with options for end users, customers, and trading partners. • Make modifications to existing BizTalk solutions to accommodate changes and/or enhancements. • Troubleshoot system problems and perform problem resolution on production systems; be able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner and provide management with status as appropriate. • Assess current technical architecture for performance and capacity; provide recommendations for near and long term platform needs. • Mentor and assist other developers on the team. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • 4 years or more of experience developing applications on BizTalk 2006R2/2009, designing XML Schemas, and Web Services. • 2+ years of BizTalk Administration and configuration. • 4+ years of experience in designing and configuring orchestrations, message translation and transformation, parsing, message buses, adapters, and managing business rules with BizTalk. • 4+ years experience working with batch and real-time processing. • 4+ years experience using ANSI ASC X12 standards. • Broad knowledge of the .Net framework and designing and developing application components using .Net framework. ? 2-4 years of SQL server experience. Experience within healthcare industry dealing with HIPAA X12 transactions, PHI, and/or HL7 standards a strong plus.
