·         The contingent worker who fills this job opening will design
engine installations and cooling systems on earthmoving equipment,
specifically Motor Graders.

·         Activities in this section include designing mounting and lines
for intake air systems, exhaust and after treatment systems, fuel systems,
and cooling systems.

·         Typical tasks include creating design concepts; collaborating
with other design engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing planners;
creating detailed designs; creating engineering drawings; analyzing and
testing; and verifying successful implementation in the factory.

·         Successful designs must meet schedule, cost, and quality goals.

·         The contingent worker will use Pro/E and other design tools, as
well as manage design work performed globally.



*Required skills*:

·         Applicants must have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a BS in
another area of engineering and recent experience designing mechanical
systems or components.

·         Applicants may have a BS in Engineering Technology as an
alternative to an engineering degree.

·         Applicants must also have excellent verbal and written
communication skills, and must be able to show achievements working with
teams, and show personal examples of dedication to goals. Applicants must
be able to work a flexible daily schedule including late evening or early
morning meetings with our global workforce.

*Desired*:

·         It is desirable for applicants to have recent engineering
experience designing engine installations and cooling systems using 3D
modeling software, particularly Pro/E.

·         Also desirable is two or more years of recent experience
designing for heavy duty mobile equipment, including hands-on experience.

·         Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated
leadership in their school or work history.

*Summary:*

Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of
mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes.

*Education/Experience:*

·         Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

·         Two to four years engineering experience required.

·         Skills and Competencies: Creativity, verbal and written
communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.

·         Team player and detail oriented.

·         Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages
innovative ideas.

·         Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and
common computations.

·         Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical
drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.

·         Previous experience with computer applications and software
related to engineering field.

*Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:*

·         Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines,
machines and other mechanical devices.

·         Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications,
manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.

·         Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose
faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew.

·         Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure
that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to
specifications.

·         Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and
provide technical information.
