*ORACLE DBA - MIGRATION - ATLANTA, GA - F2F REQUIREDLocation: Atlanta, GADuration: 3 months contractMax Rate: $50-55/hr.MUST BE LOCAL - F2F Required!* We are seeking a senior level Oracle DBA to consult our Atlanta-based client in the process of migrating and upgrading several databases from Oracle 9 and 10 to 11.2. IMPORTANT: The ideal candidate will have performed similar migrations within the past two years. Anticipated Engagement Term The migration project is underway and scheduled to be completed April 30, 2014. *Environment Overview* Databases are hosted in Atlanta and serve our client’s customers around the world including Asia, India, Middle East, Africa, and Europe.Most of these databases are in a 24x7 Production environment that cannot tolerate extended outages, even for upgrades; therefore, upgrades need to be performed with minimal downtime and limited, if any, impact to the client’s customers who rely on the availability of these databases. Subject databases are primarily hosted on a combination of Solaris 8, RHEL 4, and Veritas VCS. Migrations will include server to server and server to virtual. Subject databases are primarily Oracle 10 but some are Oracle 9. Target platform will be Oracle 11.2.0.3 on RHEL 5.8.
