Oracle DBA for State of Michigan in Lansing, same description. . They MUST have excellent communications! Rate :$50/hr..on ctc ……. Position: Oracle DBA Duration min. 6 months This position will be onsite in Lansing, Michigan It is a six month, possibly longer, engagement. I have attached the requirements as well as a few additional items below. I would like to add the following: 1. Upgrading to 12c 2. Implementing “in Memory” databases and tables 3. Understanding of best practices for RAC and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery 4. Experience with large database (4TB and bigger) Nice to have: 1. Experience implementing GoldenGate across databases of different structures. *Title or Project:* Oracle DBA *Primary Role:* This person will be responsible for reviewing the current Oracle database environment, making recommendations for the refresh. *Primary Responsi-bilities* · Review the current Oracle database environment, identifying any risks an and areas of improvement · Review current operational practices, making recommendations for improvement inconfiguration management, patching, backup, recovery and maintenance, logs, alerting, etc. · Review the new infrastructure, and identify any issues with migrating from the current environment to the new environment. · Assist with building a physical deployment plan on the new infrastructure. · Identify other capabilities such as RAC, 1 node RAC, and other high availability features that should be implemented on the new hardware · Evaluate the potential use of GoldenGate · Assist with building at 12c upgrade plan based on the new infrastructure *Required Special Skills:* · Excellent working knowledge of the Solaris Operating System · Good knowledge of the Oracle M6 and similar platforms · Superior DBA skills, including high availability, backup and recovery, and environmental migrations · Very good knowledge of Oracle 12c, including upgrading from 11gR2 · Very good experience with GoldenGate through 12c · Very good experience with large database up to 15 terabytes or bigger · Excellent experience building and deploying large physical implementation plans · Excellent working knowledge of Oracle utilities and other software such as Ops Center, OEM, Cloud Control, etc. *Preferred Skills:* · Experience with HP-UX · Experience with Linux -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Companies Looking for IT Out Staffing & Recruitment" group.
