JDEdwards is their primary ERP
This is a techno-functional position. Candidates should understand and
participate in putting together business solutions and will be interfacing
between different systems in the organization.
- There is very little technical responsibility in this position
- Will not write code, but should be able to de-bug a business
function
- Will be responsible for working with/managing a JDEdwards developer
and outsourced teams – CMC & development groups in India
- Will be coordinating the technical teams and the business needs
- Knowledge of JDEdwards (functionally)
- *Trouble-shooting skills *
- *1. Finance module is a must*
- *2. Distribution module ranks 2nd in importance*
- 3. HR module experience is nice-to-have
- Communication – technical & functional specifications
Team:
Manager is “Not a micro-manager” – doesn’t care about work styles as long
as work gets done
- Helpful & works closely with offshore counterparts
- Different styles with communicating with the offshore team is OK –
although the manager thinks this person should be able to present
well-written documentation so developers have instructions (however one
person on the team prefers to spend 4 hours/day on the phone explaining
directives to the team in India)
- Analysts on team support different applications
- Supports the Finance group
- Finance team requires a lot of hand-holding
- To be successful, the team needs to understand the Finance
team’s processes
