*“Only GC/USC”* Requirements: At least 10 years’ experience with software development lifecycle including at least 4 years of experience architecting software systems. Ability to deliver architecture solutions that take into account appropriate technologies while providing flexibility for enhancement and growth, taking into account integration with legacy. Good practices and pragmatism are essential. Experience with architecture best practices and design patterns is essential. Ability to understand new business domains and pickup basic knowledge in disciplines such as navigation, maritime business, ship operations, oceanography and meteorology. At least seven years’ experience on the Windows platform, including Visual Studio, C#, .NET frameworks, Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBMS, ASP.NET <http://asp.net/>. The Architect must be a self-starter and must have the leadership capabilities to influence development teams to use the appropriate architectures and design. Good communicator, both with technical team members and business stakeholders. Must have ability to clearly articulate pros and cons of different architectural solution Demonstrable ability create architecture and lifecycle artifacts. Experience in any of WPF, C++, Win32 apps, JavaScript is a plus. Project Management experience is also a plus. Responsibilities: - Develop Architecture and Design components of company software components systems. - Consider the impact of new architectures on legacy products and systems. - Create Architecture and Design artifacts. - Influence and lead the developments in the use of architectures and best practices. - Prototype, Develop and Test major frameworks or components. - Active participation in Agile/Scrum development methodology. - Proactively coordinate and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
