Position: Senior Performance Engineer with .NET, HP/Mercury LoadRunner
andPerformance Center
*Location: Vernon Hills, IL*
*Duration: 6 months – Contract *

*Summary:*
Performance and load testing of the SPS and Internal Applications system
using QA testing practices and frameworks on HP/Mercury tools: Performance
Center and SiteScope. Provides appropriate and timely executions, analysis,
reports, status, metrics, documentation, and communication to stakeholders.
Provides testing solutions in response to changing business or project
needs.
*Responsibilities:*

For SPS and Internal Applications:
-
Performs analysis of business requirements for accuracy,
completeness, redundancy, ambiguity, and testability, working with
development to identify the performance requirements against
which success
will be measured
-
Participates in the technical review of project deliverables
including requirement specifications, functional designs,
technical designs
and other project documentation to ensure the testability of
requirements.
-
Creates/modifies project and application test plans and procedures
based on specific requirements
-
Defines and documents additions or modifications to existing test
standards and guidelines to facilitate coordination with overall QA team
testing methodology
-
Defines testing scope, approach, risks, and assumptions.
-
Designs, builds, and, maintains, prioritizes and executes test cases.
-
Create and maintain load test scenarios, including setup of servers
monitoring.
-
Executes testing, analyzes results, creates comprehensive test
results reports and submits to project stakeholders
-
Produces reports and communicates test status and metrics to project
stakeholders according to Client's performance testing standards
after each
test
-
Reports and manages defects according to established processes,
ensuring accurate and timely entry into Quality Center
-
Leads and/or participates in peer reviews of project deliverables.
*Required Skills:*
-
5-7 years of experience with HP/Mercury LoadRunner and Performance
Center
-
Experience with ADO.NET, .Net remoting, WCF, .Net Security, Web Services
and HTTP protocols
-
Experience with LR plug-ins and Visual Studio
-
2-3 years experience with .NET and C# development
-
4-5 years experience using and reporting results with SiteScope
-
2-3 years experience with Dev Express controls
-
Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
-
Demonstrated ability acting as a Quality Assurance test/project lead
across multiple, or larger scale projects, including planning, estimating
and prioritizing.
-
Demonstrated familiarity with performance regression and benchmarking
methodologies.
-
Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements and create efficiently
designed and planned test cases.
-
Demonstrated ability to scale testing efforts to support aggressive
agile-like project timelines.
-
Proven test design, risk analysis, and prioritization skills.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to
effectively communicate with project stakeholders and senior leadership.
-
Ability to self-motivate, work independently and with minimum
supervision.
-
Ability to multi-task, work with a sense of urgency and adapt to
changing requirement and project directions.
-
Understanding of multiple IT technical platforms, and application
development methodologies.

Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours for installations,
implementations, and upgrades.
