*Infrastructure Virtual Server Administrator* *The Woodlands, TX* *Locals preferred* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* This group manages the server operations. They manage the day in day out of servers in Dallas Data Center from Houston office. Manages Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 from the Operating System perspective, on a virtual environment. The ideal candidate must know virtualization particularly with VMware, as all servers are stored in virtual environment and they still continue to do virtualization. Must be able to deploy, load, troubleshoot and maintain servers. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Provide Hardware and Operating System Support for Wintel Servers in the Dallas Data Center from office in Houston · PCI Server Operations (Dallas Data Center) · Troubleshooting Virtual Host performance issues and Provide Hardware and Operating System Support · Support Dallas Data Center Support Operating systems: W2003 and W2008, W2012 · Hardware: Dell and HP server and VMWare platforms · Monitor server health using enterprise Tools (SCOM, VCM, SCCM,Vsphere) · Plan and Implement Changes intended to: - Roll-out patches, new versions of system software and firmware of supported servers · Update parameters or changes in the configuration · Server installation and certification for internal and business projects · Test disaster recovery for applications · EOL old server hardware through migrations and retirements · Interface with Application support team in changes needed for application upgrades or problem resolution · Day to day problem resolution relating to Wintel servers supported Support Windows servers located in the Dallas Data Center - Use enterprise tools to maintain, update and troubleshoot the Hardware and Operating system for servers assigned - Virtualization experience (VMware preferred) - Work with application support teams in testing updates, End of Life hardware to virtual conversion for application, performance problems for servers assigned - Project resource for windows server needs - Work with WSSS teams in streamlining process, reduce manual work and automate where possible - Work with Terminal Server Operations team to support, update and troubleshoot Terminal servers in the Dallas Data Center *Tasks include: * · Supports continuous operation of servers running worldwide WAN/LAN network. · Operational support or NT/W2K/WS2003 based servers running global services and applications. *Activities include: * · Level 2 problem response and management · Server maintenance and troubleshooting · Server backup and recovery administration as needed · Server builds/loads and upgrades · Server security and controls · Require to work on rotating shifts for 2 Data Centers - Monitor server health using SCOM - Resolve problems reported using Remedy ITSM. *Problems are for: * - Hardware: Dell and HP server platforms - Operating system: NT4, W2K, W2003 and W2008 - System Software: Print queues, Antivirus, Monitoring tools, etc. - Server capacity management - General requirements from users *Plan and Implement Changes intended to: * - Roll-out patches, new versions of system software and firmware of supported servers. - Update parameters or changes in the configuration - Massive moves for disk space balancing or server replacement - Re-boot - Server installation for internal and business projects - Interaction with other technical teams within XOM to perform above tasks *REQUIRED SKILLS:* VMware Virtualization Virtual Server Infrastructure Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2008 Windows Server 2012 R2 VMware Hyper-V Systems Administration Server Infrastructure Administration Server Troubleshooting Server Installation Dell and HP Servers SCOM, VCM, SCCM, Vsphere *Must have Windows 2008 Server experience, 2012 is nice to have* *Must have Virtualization skills and can hold a conversation* *Thanks & Regards* *Avneesh Tyagi* *Technical Recruiter* *Sage Group Consulting Inc* *Direct: 732-898-1763* *Phone : 732.767.0010 x 705* *Email: <email%[email protected]>[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Email:[email protected]* <email%[email protected]> *Gtalk : avneesh.vsgbusinesssolution <http://avneesh.vsgbusinesssolution.com>* *Y/M : tyagi.avneesh* - *www.linkedin.com/pub/avneesh-tyagi/19/310/331/* <http://www.linkedin.com/pub/avneesh-tyagi/19/310/331/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Companies Looking for IT Out Staffing & Recruitment" group.
