*Job Description*
We’re recruiting for a talented Quality Engineer to perform functionality,
compatibility, integration, and regression testing on multiple platforms of
video player and apps. The ideal candidate is an energetic and
intellectually-curious.

*Job Summary:*
Under general supervision, carries out procedures to ensure that systems
products and services meet minimum organization standards and end user
requirements. Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and
freedom from defects. Documents and works to resolve all problems. Reports
progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to
current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.
Performs work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Performs
other duties as assigned.

*Duties and Responsibilities:*
- Develops, publishes, and implements test plans, test procedures, test
cases, test scripts, test configuration, schedules, and related
documentation for software tests related to conversion, upgrade or change.
- Analyzes information processing or computation needs
- Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or
computation needs a computer program is to address.
- Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
- Participates in the discovery and definition of the goals of a system and
describes logical operational steps of programs.
- Interview or survey workers, observe job performance and/or perform the
job in order to determine what information is processed and how it is
processed.
- Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related
problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
- Read manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn how to develop
test information that meets staff and user requirements.
- Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to
locate problems, and arrange for the correction of errors.
- Test and monitor computer programs and systems
- Works as a team with Software Engineers and other IT staff to resolve
issues, correct errors, deliver systems and maintain systems.
- Train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software,
including applications.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including
the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal
services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality
standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Oral and written communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Time management skills
- Ability to use computers and computer systems (including hardware and
software) to write test plans and cases, set up functions, enter data, or
process information.
- Ability to keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to the job
- Ability to observe, receive and obtain information from all relevant
sources
- Ability to develop, design, or create new ideas
- Ability to provide guidance and expert advice to others on technical
systems or process related topics
- Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related
documents.
- Ability to determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do
about it.
- Ability to analyze needs and product requirements to create a design.
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented
through spoken words and sentences.
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers
that make sense.
- Ability to see details at close range.
- Ability to work in a team
