*Interview Mode: F2F* *No H1B* Sr Database Administrator ยท 8+ Years experience administering Oracle databases, running on Linux, Solaris, AIX or HPUX, * Proven track record of building / administering databases in Oracle versions 10g and 11g, * Proven track record of building / administering RAC environments, * Proven track record administering Oracle databases in a challenging environment, * Strong experience with creating and administering Data Guard databases, * Strong experience with Grid Control, RAC, ASM OEM, RMAN and other Oracle features / tools, * Experience building / administering databases in Oracle version 12c helpful, * Experience with upgrading OEM from 11g to 13c helpful, * Experience with running Oracle database on Virtual Machines (VMWare) helpful, * Experience in UNIX shell scripting to help in database administration tasks will be an advantage, * Ability and willingness to follow established IT / DBA policies and procedures, * Ability to provide technical direction to others, including application developers, * 4 year degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience in a related field of study Responsibilities: Job Overview: Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting enterprise databases based on business area and infrastructure team requirements. Essential Responsibilities (): * Translate a logical data model or user specifications into a physical design, * Ensure the detailed physical design of data structures and database complies with enterprise build and configuration standards and processes, * Coordinate with system engineers to configure servers for Oracle product installation and database creation, * Install, configure, and maintain Oracle software on database and application servers as required, * Create physical database structures based on physical design for development, test, and production environments, * Provide consultation to application development teams on Oracle database technical issues and techniques, * Responsible for database performance testing and tuning, user configuration, security and support processes including gather stats and database backup/recovery, * Coordinate downtime with application development teams and system engineers to implement approved changes, * Interface with Software Vendors to answer questions or resolve performance issues.
