Middleware Administrator BASKING RIDGE, New Jersey -Description This position is responsible for providing system support for the production, development and test environments of multiple business critical systems/applications, including hands-on production / operations support on Java / .Net on Linux & Windows platforms for large and small scale applications and projects, and installation, configuration, administration and monitoring of these Java based applications. Monitor of supported systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space) Provide end-to-end solutions for applications that include Weblogic, JBOSS, Tomcat APACHE, IIS, IBM/RABBIT MQ, ODI, ORACLE SOA/BPEL, Install, convert, upgrade, and general maintenance through system landscape using a structured methodology on a variety of hardware and operating system platforms Work with network firewall team on all network connectivity activities Hardware sizing and capacity planning ensuring CPU, memory, storage are adequate to support system and business growth Proactively analyse the root causes of recurring incidents impacting system, and implement corrective actions Perfrom code migration from non-prod to production Interact with the development teams and business stakeholders to support new projects Implement and maintain the multiple server instances that comprise (sandbox, development, test, training and production). Participate in Disaster Recovery exercise. Work in a production support team with other middleware engineers and DBA to perform in a 24/7 Production Support ensuring high system availability for the production environment Select and implement standard tools to monitor systems. Make decision on automating operational procedures to remove manual errors, and influence the developers on how to optimize their code to be more efficiency for the middleware 4-5 years of strong experience in supporting Linux and Windows based Middleware applications (Weblogic and JBOSS and Tomcat) and very strong knowledge on Unix shell/Power Shell scripting with 24/7 Production Support experience on upgrades and installations. Strong knowledge in automation of manual tasks with shell scripting and other batch schedulers like ESPx, and good knowledge on SSO implementations. Should possess sound knowledge on DEVOPS tools (JIRA, Jenkins, AWS cloud, Splunk, Docker, Ansible etc..) Hands on experience on advanced technologies - Administer the Middleware applications, DBA knowledge would be an added advantage Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to various levels of management. Ability to multi-task and to prioritize competing demands, in a fast paced environment, strong desire to learn and apply new skills. Possess strong leadership, technical, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills to provide quality service, proven results and success with projects. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. 4 year degree Computer, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Equivalent.
