*Role: Sr. Agile Project Manager*

*Location: Costa Mesa, CA*

*Duration: 8+ Months*

*Interview: In-Person interview is a MUST*



•               Experience in a Waterfall-to-Agile transition is what the
client is really  looking for.

•               These PMs must have leadership skills and possess political
awareness. They will be working with project teams, helping to develop
SCRUM teams internally and also managing a portfolio of projects at the PMO
level. (Traditional task master PM style is not what they are looking for.)

•               PMs most have dynamic and friendly communication styles
with a “driver” style. The culture is in a state of transformation so the
PMs need to look ahead and anticipate next steps. The environment is
similar to a high tech start-up and the projects are in consumer services
for financial/credit services. Looking for someone with high energy,
professional and politically savvy.



*Job Responsibilities:*

   - Will perform as an Agile Coach working across the program portfolio to
   help increase the agile maturity of the software development teams; Will
   help improve, manage, and grow the agile process
   - Will maximize use of technology to encourage close collaboration of
   distributed (on shore and offshore) teams of product managers, developers,
   and QA testers to resource, define, and schedule activities required to
   develop and launch new software
   - Responsible for driving effective scrum ceremonies including daily
   scrum, backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos and retrospectives
   - Responsible for tracking and distributing relevant metrics and reports
   periodically to show team progress and velocity
   - Identify and understand impediments and help remove them and drive
   improvements to optimize how the team works
   - Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to
   refining(aka grooming) and managing the product backlog; help Product Owner
   to manage customer expectations and stakeholder communications



*Knowledge and Skills:*

   - Demonstrated experience with widely successful agile methods and
   techniques: Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework, Kanban etc.
   - Excellent servant leadership and interpersonal skills
   - Must possess and utilize exceptional communication skills to keep
   teams operating at maximum efficiency while also insuring senior leaders
   and executive management are informed of progress at all times
   - Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and coach high performing
   software development teams
   - Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and
   techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach
   (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats,
   handling bugs, etc)
   - Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and work on multiple
   priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of work
   - Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different
   contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different
   cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
   - Ability to build and maintain relationships with external vendors,
   internal partners
   - Demonstrated strength in problem definition and resolution
   - Moderate to expert-level knowledge of Atlassian (JIRA, Jira Agile,
   Confluence) or other Agile tools to measure team productivity and report
   metrics



*Qualifications: *

   - Bachelor’s Degree (Ideally in Business or Computer Science/Engineering)
   - One or more related certifications such as Certified Scrum Master
   (CSM), Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM),
   Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner
   (PMI-ACP)
   - 4+ yrs. of project management experience in technical development or
   consulting environment
   - 3+ yrs. of experience playing Scrum master/Agile Project Manager
   especially in large programs involving multiple scrum teams
   - Experience in a waterfall-to-agile transition is a plus
