*Duration 12 Months Contract* *(Looking only for local resources strictly not accepted other than locals)* *(Before sending the resumes Please share the consultant current location and contact details)* *Principal Responsibilities* Apex Systems, the 2nd largest IT Staffing company, is supporting a LAMP/Web Developer opportunity in Center City, Philadelphia for a large Telecom company. They need someone that understands a distributed Linux System (currently 3000 servers nationwide) and can help troubleshoot those issues as well as automate any tasks that can be automated. Key information is provided below. Team/Group Details: They will be working with the CDN VOD team for National and help them develop and build new tools and monitoring dashboards. The team is spread across the country, but the people this role will be working most closely will be in Boston and Phily. MUST HAVE technologies of the position Strong knowledge with Linux distributed servers on an enterprise level (LAMP Stack developer) PHP or Javascript or CSS for front end development then proficient in Ruby or Python or Perl or Git. Current tools are built with PHP so that would be a big plus Experience building tools and monitoring dashboards NICE TO HAVES Experience working with Comcast and familiar with Splunk which is being replaced by ELK (a NEW TECHNOLOGY our client is heavily moving towards and away from Splunk Wiki Creation and wiki development Primary Responsibilities: Assess monitoring needs for end-to-end CDN integration Implement new monitoring solutions through use of existing and potentially new tools Attend daily Scrums Demonstrate delivered solutions at Sprint Demonstrations Requirements: Proficiency with current versions of ruby, python, git, go, perl, and bash Familiarity with OP5, puppet , ajax, css, javascript and wiki creation (Atlassian Confluence 5.9.5), Msql, web GUI, CSS Knowledge of QAM/IP video streaming Test/Integration (Test Plans, Integration Support) Working knowledge of *nix, RH/CentOS version 7 specifically Familiarity Apache (Traffic Server/Traffic_ops/Traffic_router) Able to pull ‘How this works’ out of Developers.
