*Duration*: 6 + months contract VISA status : EAD/ GC/ USC *Interview: *Phone interview then in person Must have financial experience *Job Description:* A major financial Institution is looking for a seasoned Database Administration Professional experienced in production support, performance & tuning and troubleshooting in support of critical business applications and systems. *Required Skills/Background:* · 8-10 years DB2 and or DB2 UDB LUW (Linux/Unix/Windows). · 8 plus years of experience as a Database Administrator · Strong scripting experience using Perl, Ksh and Python · Understands replication functions and procedures. · Experience with transaction logs and execution plans. · Proficient in clustering techniques, load balancing, indexes, etc. · Understands stored procedures, SQL, SQL queries and performance optimization. · High aptitude and experience in DB2 Performance & Tuning techniques. · Strong communications skills. · Production support expertise. · Experienced in performance, tuning and optimization analysis, troubleshooting practices and procedures · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Financial Services industry experience required.
