*Job Title: Visual Basic Developer* *Location: Wilmington, MA/Los Angeles, CA* *Duration: 6+ Months Contract* Our client, a healthcare software development company with offices in Boston & L.A is looking for an experienced Visual Basic Developer (Not VB.NET) for a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, maintaining and testing Visual Basic based applications. He/she should also be able to troubleshoot, maintain and develop simple solutions to complex business problems. Candidates should have a solid understanding of developing libraries, re-usable modules in Visual basic and have familiarity with bug fix & release process using a ticket based support system. This customer will launch initiative to migrate the existing Visual Basic based platform to next gen technologies, so a candidate with development experience in visual basic and familiarity with .NET and Java will be ideal. *The programmer must have 5+ years’ experience with:* Visual Basic 6, including the use of program classes and creation of DLLs SQL Server databases, Oracle, SQL, ADO Experience Health Level 7 (HL7) record formats Healthcare industry software development experience Experience with Software for medical operations or billing/claims Enjoy working with others in a team atmosphere. Prefer a small-business, fast paced working environment.
