just got this email from Save Tillie. (shouldn't they change their name since they saved it?)
Hi, everyone -- Not more than five minutes ago, we received a phone call from a reporter at the Asbury Park Press, informing us that the stolen Palace carousel chariot has been recovered, along with all of the stolen carousel horses. As we told you several weeks ago, the chariot was a rare and valuable -- a Palace original, dating back to the earliest days when the Palace was a 100 foot by 100 foot Victorian pavilion, home to the classic carousel carved by the Coney Island carousel master Charles Looff. We don't yet have all the details on the recovery. The reporter told us that Tinton Falls police have arrested four suspects. The chariot, along with the horses, had all be recovered from antique dealers, who had bought them from the suspects. The Save Tillie Board ------------------------ Yahoo!
