Mark -
Thanks for pointing out The Preservation Committee. Maire and I, Jerry Scarano, Rita Marano, Mary D'Amato, Ben Schneider, Johna Karpinski, Pam and Jim Henry, too are all on it, as well as others.
We have issued two postcards now to draw attention to endangered landmarks - the "Save the Bandshell" and the new "Save the Casino" post cards.  If you would like some, please email me back or stop by the Kingsley Deli. The cards are there for convenience, since the store is open long hours.
It's not true that people who disagree with the council or want them to try other approaches are name calling trouble-makers. This is the discrediting campaign that gets launched whenever those in power get rattled.

A preservation committee is formed.  Candidate Pam Lamberton is on it.
Actions are being taken - the thing is, those of us who think preservation
is important want a City Council that thinks it's important too.  And
arguing that it's going to cost the taxpayers money is simply wrong - since
there's no reason it should.
