"The increase in property values in Asbury Park during this council's
tenure has been amazing. …for 30 years before that when property
values increased in Monmouth, Asbury Park properties didn't. Credit
this council for Asbury Park finally joining in with the rest of the
county…"

BlueB,
When a market is hot, all boats float in a rising tide; however, when
the tide reverses quality determines which will stay afloat. That's
when accolades are earned and deserved.

You're either new to Asbury or the planet, but wrong if you believe
that price stood still in the previous 30 years; and you are wrong to
solely credit any government with the last 4 year's market
appreciation, which seems to eerily mimic stocks of 5 to 6 years back.

Market mechanisms are far too complex for a simple analysis.
