The first two items of your on the top ten things Asbury needs to address are
by far the most important for its economic/ social success. Most know that NYC
is thriving because crime has been reduced drastically. This is because of one
reason, and one reason alone.... THE COPS. The Police presence has allowed
people to want to live,visit,& enjoy areas, that you wouldn't even drive
through with yours doors locked. It starts with omni presence, foot patrol, and
zero tolerance of petty offenses and of course, any other crime committed.
This type of enforcement will be the only way those two issues will begin to be
addressed and weeded out. Some may view this as the Police harassing the
people, but the ones who are loitering for drugs, prostitution, or any thing
else are the ones who will feel uncomfortable with this extra presence and
enforcement. The best investment that Asbury can make in this city is to HIRE
MORE COPS. The economic return with sales/taxes from more people coming
to town, will more than pay for the extra well deserved salarys.
