Forrester Takes On Eminent Domain Abuse
Names Eminent Domain Task Force To Make Recommendations To Protect Homeowners

(West Windsor) – At a State House press conference today, gubernatorial candidate Doug Forrester announced the creation of a task force today to study the recent impact of eminent domain decisions in New Jersey. Forresters Eminent Domain Task Force will make recommendations on how to mold state laws to protect homeowners and natural resources from the use of eminent domain for redevelopment projects that have questionable public value.

We need to make sure there are no more Pettys Islands, where natural habitats with bald eagles are condemned so they may be plowed over under the guise of redevelopment, said Forrester.

The Forrester Eminent Domain Task Force includes former New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority Vice Chairman Candace Straight, State Sens. Diane Allen and Nick Asselta, Assemblymen Richard Merkt and Chris Connors and Regional Planning Partnership President, Dianne Brake.
