SKIP WROTE: You appear to toss his name (Jesus)SIC about when faced with an argument you would rather avoid. If you are in fact a bonafide man of the bible and not, as it often seems, a common street hustler perhaps you'll address the incongruity of praising Christ while defaming the poor and less fortunate.
RESPONSE: I didn't defame the poor and less fortunate. I was simply trying to point out that every one was warned of the storm as it approached. People make choices. Poor and Rich, and I for one believe we are solely responsibile for those choices, when made. If you want to talk "the points" that are relevent verses deflection than one must agree the only force to blame for the destruction is the storm itself. No one is indispute as to assistance. I believe it is encumbent upon us all to help our fellow man. But so you know Jesus didn't go about purposeless with his help towards those in need. In the New Testement a woman came to Jesus and asked him for help, and she needed it. It was a bona fide social need! His response to her was "I am not here for you." Interesting how he rejected her need. Yet she did not curse him, complain or blame. She moved into a discussion and used reason with him. See Jesus was there for the "Lost sheep of the house of Isreal." She was not within the parameters of his mission. Besides Jesus never did anything for social need, He did things for Spiritual need even if it appeared to some as a social benefit. Yet she reasoned with him in such a manner as to show him, she accepted by faith that he was able to meet her need. She in her own words, the manner in which she engaged in converseing with him openned up an opportunity to get from him what she desperately needed. At that point her troubles were removed, and what really catches my eye in the entire time they spoke was his ending remark. "Her faith made her well." PARAPHRASED. I certainly can conclude that if she responded back to his initial treatment of her as if she were a dog with... "Drop Dead, you fake and phoney man (Son) of God your nothing more than a bloviating, pompous street hustler." She would have remained in need and he would have continued on as The Son of God. It's not the opinion that hangs us, it's the curseing and gnashing of teeth. More importantly the manner in which one treats another. I certainly don't blame you, and the others who have defamed me for what has taken place in the Deep South this last week. Especially in the reaction to one word "Colored" - when it was BB who used it and not me. Later learning it was Booker T Washington he was quoting. Nor do I blame the Government for the damage. In short my heart goes out to those unfortunate people. However, I believe many have to make the decision to fend for themselves when ever possible. I saw on AOL that during the whole ordeal one bar owner in the French Quarter remained open and served any one who came in. The people I sent down there in the beginning of the week came back this morning. AS a result we were able to establish a few good things hands on in this matter. They are sharing with me first hand accounts. Quite frankly I have concluded that those first responders who rushed in early on became victims as well. It was prudent to slow things down as the government did. Many times rushing in causes more harm than good. Its like rushing to a conclusion without all the facts. A few NO police officers committed suicide in the first few days. Just so you know, I respect each individuals opinion, but I respect myself even the more. I will defend myself, because it is not my mission in life to suffer for your good, in any capacity. Moreso, the only reason I myself did not make the trek this time is cause my Doctor wouldn't allow me too. I have a severly torn meniscus in my left knee. Anyway... Good Tidings to you all.
