OH THANK YOU FRED FOR PROVING HOW WRONG YOU WERE ABOUT RITA!!! This article is proof that Rita never committed a crime, and we have Fred to thank for it!
In New Jersey, any offense that is a "crime" is handled in Superior Court. Municipal Courts have no jurisdiction over crimes. The article says clearly that Rita pled to a "diorderly persons" offense. That's the same ticket you get if your radio is to loud. It's not a crime. Accordingly, Rita never committed a crime nor does she have a record. Thank you Fred for standing up for Rita and bringing this to our attention. The truth has indeed set us free today. God bless Rita! --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "Fred" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I asked I pleaded I begged everyobody to let it die. > Who needs the Library when there's the internet. > > 4/21/94HD: Ex-city official guilty in food stamp scam > > BY: NANCY SHIELDS Press Coastal Monmouth Bureau > > > > ASBURY PARK A former city housing commissioner and her business > partner pleaded guilty > yesterday in Municipal Court to one count each of converting food > stamps into cash at the Kingsley Deli and Food Store they operate on > the beachfront. > > The U.S. Department of Agriculture last November filed complaints > against Rita Marano and > her partner, George R.
