They would have easily had several thousand people if they scheduled it for say 1 or 2pm. That would have allowed anyone in the area to make it as well as given time for the NY owners to come down. It would have also made for a truly impressive site and photo op of all of those people on the boardwalk at one time. An overhead shot would have been amazing."

not everything has to be a marketing plan, geeez!!! yeah, talk about a traffic problem, having it at 1 or 2 mid day, when everyone else is trying to get places, and live their lives. then you have a poor in of a few thousand cars all over. something that only lasted 10 seconds keep in mind. then everyone left!
