You know what makes me sad?
Walking on the boardwalk, and seeing and hearing the ghosts of what used to
exist there.
Seeing the Golddigger boarded up, no matter how much of a dive it was, bums me
out.
The decay of the Casino building is tragic.
The empty lot that was the Palace is a bummer.
Convention Hall and The Paramount hardly get used.
And they call this progress...wipe away the history, and replace it all with
retail and condos.
What a loss.
At least I can still drive to Seaside or Coney Island to capture a bit of that
old boardwalk
magic.
I don't think there's going to be much magic in Asburys future.
