I went to look at the drawings of the Casino restoration today. It shows the elevation of the buildings with the Carousel House on the left and part over the beach on the right. That would be the South Elevation of the building, in other words, if you stood on the Ocean Grove side of the Casino and looked north at it. The only problem is that the drawing is labeled East Elevation, which is wrong. It can only be the East Elevation if the buildings were picked up and spun 90 degrees. I don't think that is happening and it is clearly a mistake. However, this is such a basic thing for architect (CCH did the drawing) that I don't know how you get it wrong. It doesn't leave me a great feeling. I look forward to the Casino et al restoration, but with Partners' track record, I'll belive it when I see it.
