Eyewitness News (Asbury Park - WABC, December 6, 2006) - A 21-year-old woman was fatally shot an apartment complex in Asbury Park late Tuesday. Police say Latyria Nealy, of Neptune, was shot in the head in the rear parking lot of the Frederick Douglas Apartments on Mattison Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night. Officials say she was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center, where she died today. A memorial with a white and pink teddy bear angel and four balloons marked the spot where the woman was shot. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators working on the case. The lead detectives are Detective Sergeant Terrance Fellenz of the Asbury Park Police Department and Detective Delisa Brazile of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Asbury Park Satellite Office.
