Carolyn, I also remember when things were much worse.
And I will keep calling the police.
I saw a really rapid response to my call last night, which was very impressive.
I do realize I live in an area with it's troubles, and I'm hopeful as most of 
us are that those 
problems will just diminish in time.
And like Lillian, i'll continue to pick up other peoples trash like I do on 
nearly a daily basis.
I can only hope that somehow there will be a shift in the mentality of people 
who litter in 
AP, because it's not just in my neighborhood, it's all over.
I guess that those commercials in the 70's, with the Indian guy crying over 
pollution really 
got to me. When I see litter, or people doing it, I get more sad than mad about 
it.
