ASBURY PARK: Police were searching Tuesday night for two men who stabbed and
robbed a
man walking on the 300 block of Seventh Avenue.
The identity of the victim was not immediately known Tuesday night.
According to Lt. George Corbin, the victim was walking along Seventh Avenue
around 7 p.m.
when he was accosted by two men. The victim was then stabbed twice, once in the
chest and
once in the armpit. His attackers stole an undetermined amount of money and the
victim's
cell phone and then fled the scene.
The victim's wounds are not believed to be life-threatening, Corbin said. He
was transported
to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment.
