Not the same types of lights that Walmart would ever purchase due to the costs. Hard to say that too much light is produced untill all is lit. Could be a lower watt light? But I do believe the area needs to be treated like a parking lot. This is where people will park and walk and they must be seen. ------------------------
What's harsh is that the stated goals of the plan are consistantly ignored and violated. The public was told (by document) that the character and historic assets of Asbury Park would be respected and used as the basis for new development. The big lie - and no one seems to recognize it. There should be balance in the process and designs that make an effort to meet the stated goals. I see little to no effort toward that. Adversly effecting existing assets in the guise of modernizing/redeveloping just further destroys what little is left of APs unique character. Wouldn't it be better to keep the view corridors free of obstructions, and design lighting that enhances the historic street grid while providing safety/security? It could have been done - it was not. Werner Yahoo!
