> For some reason, most of the towns along the Jersey Shore in Monmouth County do not have hotels.
That's because there is more IMMEDIATE return in knocking down a 2 story motel/hotel and building a taller box. LAND LAND LAND. Every motel and most every apartment complex has a price on it. Same stuff happened in Flodida - Hollywood where every 1950's little apartment/motel was being raised. Eminent domain, crazy prices etc. For now, the canadians did a good job of buying these little spots and forming a good litle association. Great place to see older folks from canada having fun. The Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch is booked solid from Mid May through Labor day - even if the people only come down on the weekend. The same thing could happen to the berk in it's present state. Turn it into a Kosher hotel (sorry to those who don't want more jewsish people in town). Lots of possibilities. Yahoo!
