The section about Gay AP was written 3-4 years ago by someone who over
emphasized the gay nightlife at the expense of AP's other music scenes and
diversity. Later on a whole section was added about the historic case of One
Eleven
Wines and Liquors, Inc. v. NJ's ABC. At the time, Wiki was not the number
one site (according to last week's NYT) it is today. Those of us who noticed
the editing didn't think it important enough to bother with especially after
a link was added for _http://www.gayasburypark.com/_
(http://www.gayasburypark.com/) .

My point in starting this thread yesterday was that, given the resource that
it is for many people now--2007--, the entry deserves more attention. I
didn't notice any factual errors, so I guess it's reliable in that sense.

But the pictures are outdated

All that overstatement below, and the CAPS, make me wonder....

Is this a high school student posting for TD and hijacking the threads
intent? All heat and no light. Peevish too..

The Asbury Park Wikipedia entry used to have a sub-heading in bold
letters called "Gay Asbury Park."

Below that heading was [sic] several large paragraphs about the history and
present of the Gay community here, and their contributions to the City.

That has been erased, and the Gay and Lesbian community is given about
1 sentence buried in another section.

WELL I GUESS IF THE HIGH SCHOOL EDITORS WHO RUN WIKIPEDIA SAY THE GAY
AND LESBIAN COMMUNITY IN ASBURY PARK ISN'T HERE, THEN THEY JUST AREN'T
HERE!

Wiki a reliable source?

Hah!

An abomination to legitimate research is more like it.
