Here's a Back to School project we can all get behind, I hope.
Tee Lesinski (Barbara's sister) is spearheading this effort and has
asked that I pass this along to all the folks I know. If you'd like
to help and would like to drop some of these items off at her porch,
please call her (732-775-5246) or e-mail her ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) in
advance. She can even arrange pick-up if you prefer. Let's all help
to get this school year off to a really positive start. Thanks!

Hello everyone,
The Community Development Department/City of Asbury Park is hosting
their 3rd Annual Back to School Block Party, Saturday August 25th.
Along with fun, food and music, at the end of the event they hand out
1,000 book bags to the children.
In speaking with Denise Brown, one of the organizers, I asked if they
have school supplies to put into each bag. They do supply pencils.
The day to prepare the book bags is a week before the event, that's
Saturday, August 18th.
So I ask all of you, can 1,000 book bags be supplied with supplies in
18 days ????? ( list below)
I know it is a huge task, but it is possible.
