Tommy, with the latest rash of incidents coming out of Howell lately,
I think you better consider moving back to AP.

HOWELL — A 21-year-old township man was arrested after police say he
struck a 35-year-old man with a baseball bat and then bit off part of
that man's nose.

Police said they were called to Scott Gregory's Fort Plains Road home
around 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 1.

Officers learned that Gregory and the victim, also a Howell resident,
had been fighting, said Capt. Steven Dreher. The reason for that fight
remains under investigation, he said.

But Gregory hit the victim in the head with a bat, then bit off part
of his nose, according to police and the complaint signed against him.

Gregory was charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes
and two counts of aggravated assault.

The victim was taken to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold
Township, police said.
