Have any of you folks read the TCN article about them crusading to save the Met?
And, their concept of rebuilding the same hotel on the same site?
First off, that building is rotting away. I really doubt that it can be saved.
And to insist that a hotel be built on the same location mimicking the original
design?
Why?
Who's gonna come stay at that hotel with such a fine view of Wesley Grove, and
virtual
nothing in the area that supports tourism. And the closest neighbor is a
welfare hotel that's
frequently abuzz with domestic troubles.
When is this city going to come up with one consistent vision for the future of
our city, and
then actually stick to it and execute it?
