He will take over the Salt Water Beach Cafe on the first floor and also open up a supper club on the second floor. An Italian restaurant, to be operated by the owners of Serena, also in Pier Village in Long Branch, is planned for the First Avenue pavilion.The new restaurants are to be open for the summer, said Gary Mottola, president of investments for Madison Marquette."It's a major effort, it's a substantial effort and needs to happen immediately, '' Mottola said.Other city restaurants, including Taka and Market in the Middle, plan to open additional eateries in the boardwalk zone. Mottola also said the Wonder Bar on Ocean Avenue is expected to reopen by May, and Madison Marquette plans to open a beach club for families.
