I agree with Oak's and Tom's comments about Tillie. The icons of AP as Shangri-La in my recollections were the Mayfair Theater and the Swan boats, but I know that they're no longer in tune with today's tastes. The Paramount's renaissance and the vision of ReVision Theatre are terrific, and I still harbor some wishful thinking that a Ferris Wheel and a Carousel could be a workable nod to nostalgia. I agree Oak. Tillie was nothing. It didn't have the name Tillie, either. There was no support amoung the people who were from here to save the face or the nasty old building either. All of that came from mythology - people who came here so recently they never saw the place operate, and think it was some sort of Shangri-La that it wasn't. I would go there as a kid but didn't hang much down that way. **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here.
