While I am a current events and politics junkie, I can understand why
some do not favor such posts (discussions, passions, rants) in this
group when they don't pertain to Asbury Park in particular.
But I don't understand why so many have not taken advantage of the two
groups listed below. Discussion? 1) In 2005, Dan S started
AllThingsAsbury (currently 31 non-bouncing members)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/allthingsasbury/ Description A moderated
group for discussions (reasonably) limited to Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Members must maintain a valid email address. No bouncing members (emails
bounce back from an invalid email address) will be permitted and will be
removed. While an attempt will be made to avoid censorship, truly
objectionable posts may be removed. Members will receive 1 warning
before being removed, except for bouncing in which case removal will be
automatic. By joining this group you agree to these terms. 2) And in
2007, Hinge started AsburyPolitics (16 members)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/asburypolitics/
Description This is the place for residents and fans of Asbury Park to
discuss political issues.
