We're the only station that has free parking, and it barely gets used, more
police cars and horse trailers than commuter cars, its not well lit at night,
but it is patroled regularly

IF people are using the NJ Coast Line out of AP to commute then...

1) That's a good thing.

2) doesn't Bradley Beaches station lot charge for commuters??? I Know long
branch does with their ass backwards "paystation" where you have to jam your
money into little slots, elberon no. Allenhurst is limited.

3) here's a stupid idea to add to my collection.
a - the west side of the tracks has a lot - owned by nj transit. Clean it up,
light it better - it's behind the muni building. I saw now that the city yard
vehicles seem to be using it. If commuters don't want to use that lot, then
have all city employees park on the west side.
 - that will free up the muni parking lot for people who have to do business
with the city AND....pave it and restripe it. THEN you can number the
spaces....

Just a dumb idea. Free 15 minute parking for muni business.

It TOOK YEARS for the state etc to add a parking deck to the metro park station
and businesses there with large lots had to gate them to keep commuters off.

You can't have "mass transit" that you have to drive to and park that has no
parking or excessive fees to go along with excessive fares.

Defeats the whole idea.
